Series: Comments on Galatians

Today's Scripture Jigsaw

The Lord looked down from height of heaven and saw a world imprisoned by sin. There was nothing we could do about it. No amount of moral endeavor or law-keeping would free us from our sins, so only death and hell awaited us. But God heard the moans of the prisoners and determined to set us free from sin and death. The only way to do it, was to do it himself. So, he sent his Son into the world to carry our sins to the cross. He became Peter, the liar, Paul, the persecutor, David, the adulterer, Adam, the disobedient, the thief on the cross, and you and me — sinners one and all. And the law said, Somebody has to pay, so it will be you. It saw no sin in you, for it was on Christ. It saw no sin in Peter, Paul, David, Adam, the thief, or anyone but Jesus. The law then, killed Christ but Jesus set us free.
